There is no service or monthly fee required. Other features the SFA3800 has are a clock, message waiting, incoming call indicator (LED and icon), talking dialer keys, multiple language support, and speakerphone. This device is powered by 120V AC adaptor (included) with battery backup option, while the pendant is battery powered (battery included).
